The yellow banner appears at the top of all pages on the site if any news posts are categorised as 'important' (1).
The banner features the news post title and the first 55 characters of the news post. Alternatively, if you would like better control of the text, the post will feature any text above a 'read more' block (2) or the text from the Excerpt field (3).
Delete the news post or remove the 'important' category from the post to disable the banner.
