Change a Post or Page status and visibility

To change the post/page status and visibility:

1. Log into your WorpPress admin
2. Navigate to Pages > All pages or Posts > All posts
3. Select the page/post you want to edit
4. At top right you of the page editor you will see the page controls

Select password protected and set a password to protect the site from those who do not input the correct password. Remember to share the password with those you want to give access.

To unpublish  a page or post and retain the ability to publish again in future change the status to draft or pending. However, do not do this with a parent page without first switching its child pages to draft as the child pages can still be found using search if they are not unpublished.

Don't forget to save your changes.

Note: You will continue to see the draft pages when logged in as editor to the site — so log out to see the site as a user would.

Click on the Publish button when ready to show the page again.
